Since I was already adding an installer for my Google Reader Notifier, I decided to go ahead and add an installer for LocalDeli as well.

The installer will automatically add the notifier to your startup folder, so it should start up with windows. There’s no preferences page at all, so you are kinda screwed if you don’t like the way it works right now…

The next version will have the ability to change the options. I just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I’ve updated the version number to 1.0.

Per request, I’ve added in proxy support, although I haven’t tested it out. Here’s the changelist:

• Added proxy support using WebProxy.GetDefaultProxy() to access the Internet Explorer proxy settings. Note that this will only work with a static proxy configuration. If your proxy is autodetected, it will still not work.
• Added in encryption for the passwords. If you get an authentication error after upgrading(possible), you just need to type in your password again and hit the Update button.

I’ve updated the localdeli client to fix some of the bugs:

• Fixed network timeout never restoring update link.
• Fixed problem with crashing on update.
• Fixed problem with keyword searching causing crash if no items.
• Fixed problem with right click menu crashing if no items.
• Disabled some unused code
• Fixed problem with special characters not being saved or displayed correctly
• Changed help link to point to localdeli homepage
